Show me you M14 Slings!

sorry best pic i got at the moment..

but i'll explain how its attached..
Its a VTAC quick adjust sling.. attached at the front on the left hand rail with a Daniel Defence QD 1.25" swivel.. and then on the back its actually looped under one of the straps that hold the cheek pad on, so that when i sling it on my back, or front, it sits flat , rather than the mag etc digging or the rifle always trying to roll over. it works very well.

+ 1 on the 1907.
Check out Turner Saddlery, They're top notch and ship to Canada. I prefer their AWS slings.

Les Tam M1907 sling. Made by hand with quality and attention to detail. He'll customize as requested.

I checked out his site and he has beautiful stuff ... however, customizing only consists of things stamped on the sling no more then 4 letter words ... my Springfield ROCHELLE deserves her complete name on one of those slings ... ;) :p

p.s. I have two 1907 slings and they're great ... need a different type other than 1907 that attaches to a McMillan folder for my shorty M14 in color tan ... can't find anything ... help???

Les Tam! All others are mass produced wannabes!!!

Last time I was in Hawaii I spent some time with Les and spent the day with him making slings. If you want the best there is no other sling to get. I have 3 of his slings and feel guilty using them. He's getting up there in age and won't be doing this much longer. He even took me to the range (UNREAL!) and trained me on how to sling up the Army way (he sez is the right way LOL) with his NM M1 Garand. He also took out some of his NM M1A which included an early Devine....that was COOL!

Anywho....not that I'm biased or anything but I love my Les Tam slings LOL!

X2 for Turner Saddlery 1907. I got mine from Smith Enterprises with the crazy horse logo. You could tow a truck with that thing.

DOH ... haha ... well let's see some close ups of yours Fenix NZ ... :D

p.s. does anyone in Canaduh make a 1907 replica sling?

It also depends if you want it for carry only or if you actually want to shoot with it.
If you're gonna shoot with it there is no substitute for the 1907 sling.
Here's me dicking around (hasty sling) at 300m. For 300+ I sling up properly in the prone (deliberate sling) and for that you need the 1907.
That's a Turner AWS in the pic, tan colour.

Can I see some close-ups of the VTAC and the actual attaching parts ... as I just checked out Viking Tactics site and there are several versions of this sling. Does anyone in Canada carry these products as I wish to get one in COYOTE tan that will attach to my McMillan folder which will need a quick heavy duty swivel on one end and a VTAC LUSA on the other end to attach to the rail on the stock???? Help!
