LA? Your wife and mine would get along.![]()
I knew it was close. Same type of land. Pics like that make me want to kick myself for not buying an FN when I had the chance.

...another picture of my baby. I also have an Israeli, a Brit (with S.U.I.T scope), and two Aussies (one old style wood carry handle, sold to New Zealand per Skennerton's book, and a new style forearm/plastic carry handle ex Singapore police). I don't have any pictures of the others, something I should rectify.

Can you say pencil barrel? Wow!
Really nice, I would really love to be able to get one and shame ohhhhh shame on the idiots ou decided to smelt the canadian one!
Would be like my RFB grand pa.
If you had one like I do then it would only be a huge paperweight...not allowed to shoot it or take it to the range or even take it out of my house...
Talk about dumb gun laws...![]()
Does anybody remember how they taught us to do burst fire? I was just discussing it with a buddy I was in with. They taught us to say "Son-of-a-#####" and let go for a perfect 3 round burst. I said it longer to rack out a 10 round burst! Lol! More like "Sssoonn-offff-aaaa-biiiittcchh!" Lol!

I will happily trade my wife, the cat ,16 chickens and my brothers kids for this FN
Very nice indeed.
DROOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
Its like the Spitfire or a Lamborghini, it just looks right and if it looks right then it must be right. Truthfully I dont think I could live with one knowing that Id never be able to stretch its legs now and then.............But hey, this is like the biggest emptiest country in the world eh. Pretty sure if ya hiked and canoed 8 days into the bush there would be a Mountie just waiting.
Was an FN ever used in a murderous rampage in Canada or was it just a knee jerk reaction to call it dangerous ? Because honestly the FN and the M-14/305 are basically the same platform and when you gussy up the old Norc it can get to be lookin quite evil...but were allowed to have them.
Im just FRUSTRATED !!
Sorry, already have a cat and more than 16 chickens where I live. If it is any consolation, I would trade quite a bit to be able to shoot it. I acquired this one ofter the "Dear Sir, no more shooting your FN" letter. I had in fact, just got a British S.U.I T scope for my Australian FN and was just getting ready to go to the range when the letter arrived!
(the scope in question mounted to a Brit L1A1, also acquired after the range ban)

..and just to rub it in (sorry!), the rest of the family

I have saved around 500 rounds of Canadian IVI ammo and a battle pack of Hirtenberger for the day we are allowed back to the range. I plan on taking all my FNs to the range and inviting my friends to a celebratory shoot. Hope the day arrived soon...
I am right there with you buddy! Ever saw the tread "free FAL"? was estate in libia full of fal ammo , ordonance and lots of other cool gun and stuff. They could sell that for 200$ here and make a fortune but no!!!!!
O and somebody seemingnly is able to convert then full auto and you know how usefull a full auto 308 is!! So we must ban them all
Im no Rocket Surgeon but Im pretty bloody sure there is a way to #### around with a Norc to get full auto. I would imagine if a gun is capable of a slam fire then the capacity for tinkering is there.
As for the accuracy of the FN/FAL. Im no sniper and Im still wondering what an MOA is but just for poops and giggles we used to mess around at 600 meters and we were hitting man size targets, and anything under 300 meters was easily in reach even on a windy day. Good fun. With the SA80 I can recall having to aim like 2.5 target widths to the left at 300 meters just to make a hit and the flag was hardly moving. As for anything over 300 meters...not a snowballs chance in hell.
I did like my old SMG absolutely usless above 50 meters but you could stick that puppy in yer pocket or toolbox. and get on with yer job, just had to watch yer fingers is all LOOL
