Show me your front rests!

LOL pizza shoot, how come no one's ever thought of that idea before!? :D

Anyway, on a related note, I contacted horseman2 and apparently there are plans for Mission to start some sort of 50BR matches at the range, so that is some awesome. :D Hope I don't embarrass myself.

Geez guys I have those fancy rests beat. Check out my high tech target stabilization enhancment device.

Thats one heck of a fancy rest Pharaoh

Rishu - I have not had overly great luck with the biathlon ammunition but some people have. Is it the EPS biathlon with the EPS "tip" on the bullet or is it just the regular biathlon with the normal looking bullet? I haven't heard of the regular one doing too good. A couple members on RFC a year or two ago were getting some really good groups with the EPS style biathlon ammo though.

For me though Eley match EPS has been the most consistant ammunition in pretty well all my guns. Lapua Superclub seems to work well for practice.

They look like this:

I assume this is the "regular" kind, though according to my friend (who I bought them off from), they still cost 15 bucks per box at the local stores...

Worth a try, I just want to feed the Krico with many different kinds so I can get a good idea of what to buy. I do have a brick of Super Club, hopefully they'll do well.

Hahaha I wasn't the one who got ripped. I bought it off my friend for 15 bucks together.

Where do you usually find your ammo? $14 for Tenex EPS is not bad. (at least it's not like X-Act prices...)

Rishu - yes that is the regular kind I was referring too. $15 a box is honestly way to much to be paying. It should be more like $6 a box. Even Eley Tenex Ultimate EPS is only about $14. I know its a local store - so maybe $8 but $15 is too much.

Has it been a number of years since you last bought any premium 22 ammo? Tenex in Edmonton is like $180.00 per brick, so is Green Tag. Lapua master M is $200.00 a brick. I'll take all that you can find for 8.00 a box. FS

Hi fasteel,

Yes I just ordered some ammunition about 1 week ago. Last time I bought master M too it was only about $9.50 or so a box - that was about a year ago. I am buying from international imports.

This is a rest I made myself it was a great rest but I found it to heavy to lug around 25-30lbs so I sold it. Im now working on a smaller lighter model.

I just checked out their website, prices seem more than fair. Once I figure out which one my Krico likes I'll order from them.

Shipping/service okay, I assume?

Service seemed to be deemed as an issue maybe 5 or 6 years ago but I think it has sinced change. I have ordered probably 15-20 times from them with out any hassel at all. Shipping is usually really good. They do not have to pay dangerous goods handeling fees so for that reason it is pretty good. On my shipment that just came in today of 1 case of eley match eps and 2 bricks of eley tenex it was about $35 for shipping.

Did you say a CASE of Eley Match EPS? That's 1120 bucks dude!!

No hazmat fee is pretty cool. I'll give them a try. Thanks for the advice :)

The problem with shooting rimfire is that 50 rounds goes by REALLY quickly, whereas in centrefire, even 20 rounds seem like a lot. 2 or 3 cases though... no wonder they made you rimfire mod :D

LMAO, rishu if you are going to start counting the dollars then it maight be a good time to start thinking about a new hobby. I hear Frisby Golf has a large following now :D

It is only money and you can't take it with you so buy a little happiness before the other half finds out you have it to spend. Or in the single guys case just spend it now before someone tries to spend it for you.

Frisby golf is actually pretty fun :D

I've long since stopped "counting the dollars", in order to enjoy hunting/target shooting. But a guy's gotta have some limits, otherwise I'd be buying S&B scopes and Fewerweirk (sp?).
