Show me your M&P Mods!

This is not a gun I'd spend much money on as it is a workhorse, works wel,l and is low cost. I did the mag mod to ease the 10th round and put an Apex kit in it. Done. Honestly the stock trigger felt pretty good after 5000 rounds and I did rework the stock trigger and striker block at a cost of $0.00 getting good results that would have saved me the Apex money except for the trigger pull weight.

Machining the slide? Why would you and what exactly are you hoping to to gain by doing so? If you had your own mill and refinishing ability I guess maybe.

The advise to get a 9mm is very sound. Get a 9mm and save the conversion barrel budget for another platform, say an all steel .40 if you really want that calibre.

Front serrations are nice indeed but I use an overhand grip to rack my semis and the rear gets the job done for me. The serrations on the M&P are great, more effective than on guns that I have that are twice the cost. It is a great pistol I'm sure that you'll really enjoy it!
 
I have an Apex sear in mine, I polished the bits that rub, and that's it. 55,000 rounds later it's still going. I've replaced springs (recoil, magazine) mag followers, and strikers - not because I had to with the strikers, because they kept revising them and I thought they were making them better (probably weren't, but still haven't had an issue). Buy ammo - lots of ammo, spare mags, and take a course (or two). You'll get more out of a course than you ever will out of stuff to put in/on your gun.

I feel sorry for you wallet, but nice to know it holds up that much.
 
All great advice guys, thanks. No more 9mm talk though:) it's .40 S&W for sure. but stubborn I'm not. If I find I don't like it I'll come back here and say so. Not that I think theres anything wrong with 9mm but, there is a fun factor itch for me that I don't think the 9 will scratch. Hell, it's all I can do to not get the 45. I will someday have one but likely in a CZ or 1911 platform.
 
I have a pretty detailed video on how to polish the internals of an M&P. You can skip the beginning part on disassembly if you already know how to do that. I made the video assuming it was going to be viewed by a new gun owner with no experience with the M&P. It's actually my 3rd most viewed video with over 10,500 views, so I know it's helped many people.

Nice sights, I also don't mind the stock trigger. I might to the diy trigger job but I haven't really felt the need yet.
