So, can anyone give me a step by step of the Ross refurb process? I suppose it's subjective to the rifle, but there must be some sort of standard thing that everyone does.
I'm not a gunsmith by any stretch, but I do enjoy projects like this. I've rebuilt many electric guitars over the years. I'm currently working on restoring my father's Mossberg 151k .22lr. It's coming together nicely.
Would it be recommended to start with a Lee Enfield to work up my skills before tackling a Ross?
Finally, what would you pay for a sportered Ross? I'm seeing numbers from $150-300. I don't know if I'd want to pay more than $200 all in for a sporter.
