I've got absolutely nothing against semi-autos, but my first deer hunt was with a model 88, and that turned me to lever 308s...but of course have a 22 semi

Mine too. There is a semi .22 rf in the cabinet but it is my son's left to him by his Grandpa. He never shoots it, never, not even once but it is there from his Grandpa.

I own one semi auto shotgun, for waterfowl hunting. I prefer the reduced recoil of a gas operated semi auto with heavy waterfowl loads.

I have a Beretta A400 for waterfowl it’s great for quick follow up shots and less recoil. Amazing gun and really useful for the waterfowl when you can quickly re acquire another target.
