Show off your cool tactical 22s

I like that, details?

I love this thing, even if it is restricted. Too bad the gestapo went and ruined the fun with their idiotic mag restrictions.

Sold my 10/22 after the mag restrictions and picked this up, love it.

And this is?

Modern Scary black assault rifle that is safer than the scary black AR-15 because its non-restricted. (Walther HK G36-22)

what's your impression on the g36 clone? better than the issc and the gsg?

Only shot the GSG 15 once, so I don't think I can compare them. But I do like the tiny little official HK trademark letters that probably cost $250 to etch on an overly expensive .22LR plinker.

I kind of have to like it after spending $700 to acquire it, but I like the unique charging handle on it and that it's a pretty cool looking non-restricted firearm.

Worth the premium over the Nomad 10/22 kits? I can't tell from the picture if its actually designed around the G36 shape or if it's just a shell around another Walther design the same way the Mossberg 715 is just a shell around a Mossberg 702

Walther g36 info/reference thread.

Some notable differences.

Charging handle is real and reciprocates like the real g36. (10/22 nomad has a fake central charging handle and you charge it from the side with the 10/22 one.)

Take down is similar to the g36 with removing 2 takedown pins, and the pistol grip allowing easy access to the insides.

Safety is an ambidextrous rotating one. ( 10/22 nomad uses the Ruger crossboltsafety)

Last round hold open on last shot, and there is a bolt catch but no bolt release (I absolutely hate the 10/22 bolt catch)

True solid barrel and not a pencil barrel in a sleeve.

Has real licensed HK trademarks.

Magazine release is unfortunately the m4 styled side button and not paddle release.

Can use colt m4-22 magazines for 10/20/30 round capacities as the m4-22 magazines are designed and manufactured for the colt m4-22 rimfire rifle and no pistol variant of it exists.

I just like to be different and the 10/22 platform never really clicked with me.

I thought it looked cooler than the 10/22 kit and I liked the trademarks.
