Show off your Hunting Boats

Not a big fan of eating them so just don't bother chasing them.

Fair enough; they are good for sausage and jerky. And what a chase it is. Mallard hunting is new to me and a totally different sport.

I like the Skeena for some reason; but there are plenty of rivers to go around in that area.

So it can truly skip over stuff now.

Awesome; take that jet boats.

Don't let it give you a false sense of security with deadheads in the ocean...

conor your asking about sea ducks I have to say I do not know of anyone including myself that targets them here in BC.

Really I have hunted them around the gulf islands and on VI in a few places. It is really my only tangible duck hunting experience, mallards continue to elude me.

They are very popular on the east coast and with FN's.

Mallards and Canada geese are the local targets and all the hunters I know even stay away from mallards that feed in the local rivers due to them tasting like fish.

Come to Saskatchewan for a hunt. You'll get your fill of malkards and go away wondering "why did they seem so elusive back home?"

You in the Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley Camp Cook?

Spank the mallards are "elusive" because of ineptitude I suspect. I think next year Canada Geese will be my target. The real question is "where are all these snow geese", I think you know the answer though.

^ same here; I had a gun sale myself recently!

Hopefully you are correct because I was signed on for 4 projects that fell through last year.

I am somewhere in between the two. Unless you mean trades like pipefitting as "paper skills"; I work as an archaeologist.

Not even about the money anymore; I just want to get back into the field.
