Show off your Hunting Boats

I
Nice halibut biggest I ever caught was 75lbs but my dad and older brother landed one that was 300+ lbs at the top of the north island.

Is that a ling cod or the biggest bullhead I've ever seen body seems a bit short too me to be a ling.

It's not a ling or bullhead but it is a cod the halabut is just chickens
Man that deer was good right down to the soup bones

Is the keel a v all the way to the back of the hull or does it have a flat keel at the back for the jet?

The hull flattens out at the back to a contact pad and the keel ends about 36 inches in front of the jet, hard cupped chines and doesn't want to swap ends like some boats, pretty well behaved.

Well...after almost 20 years of service, it looks like I have officially decided to retire the 12ft aluminum boat that I shared in post 27. I now have a new boat to focus my attention on. Its a Legend V-149 wide body. The interior colour scheme is conducive to hunting do the first task at hand will be a nice vinyl camo wrap of the exterior and motor.

I made a deal to buy a 30 foot ex-commercial troller for $5000 opens a lot of hunting and for me living on the coast
For this winter the boat will sit in Prince Rupert wer its docked sum retrofitting for spots fishing and hunting
The small diesel Volvo runs like a top it is cheap To run
The boat isn't fast but what the hell its a Live aboard
I'm going to need a aluminum skiff for bringing the Rokons and camp gear to shore
It's going to be nice having easy access to my favorite hotspot To hunt sitka deer
Any suggestions for a small aluminum skiff to land on the beach on the BC coast

You are leaving the dream I have had since the 80's with that boat ...

Wish we never sold our shop/house/mobile home park in Sandspit I'd probably be living up there now if we hadn't.
