Well, it's an acquired taste, but it shoots lights out and is very comfortable to shoot... always 2-3" groups at 50m with bulk ammo. And, yes, 22LR recoil. It's a keeper, and my 14 year old son actually thinks it's cool... the rest of my collection... not so much!

From top to bottom:

I've wanted a pistol caliber lever gun for ages and when I came across a Steel Henry Golden Boy 357 Mag on sale, it got the bug going in me again. ;)
I started by looking for a Marlin 1894c, or 1894cs, without any success ( surprise...surprise ). When I came across this little sweetie on Ellwood Epps site, I couldn't
resist - especially after all the glowing reviews that I had read. This is a Winchester Model 1892 Short Rifle in 357 Mag. and it should make an excellent addition to my
Lever collection. :dancingbanana:

Great choice, you will be happy with it for sure

Thanks, I'm pretty sure I'll be happy with it too. The new Winchesters made by Miroku have gained quite a reputation for their quality and craftsmanship, but I didn't
expect the price of the Winchester to be so close to the prices asked for the Marlin and the Henry rifles of the same category - It made choosing the winchester a no-brainer.

Ruger 96 in 44Mag. My favorite rifle for bush pushing/dogging in Ontario woods. Love the detachable magazine.

Safe queen Browning B-92 in 44Mag. She's just too pretty to hunt with!

Great choice! I have 2 in .44 mag. Shot several hundred rounds through 'em both with nary a problem. Beautiful, reliable, oh so fun.
