I recentliy picked up this nice Ruger # 3 in 44mag, I ve never owned one before but always admired the Ruger single shots.I ve seen a few number 3 carbines at gun shows over the years but most were in 45/70, I was tempted
but read that in that cal the recoil was brutal in the number 3.I ve that the 44mag is rare in this gun which is too bad as I think they are well suited to pistol cartridges and one in 357mag would be neat as well.
