The noise definitely gets thrown forward but there is a bit of a fireball. I believe the XB1 design also aids in cycling the 7.5" SBR.

Thanks for the update, I'm considering either the dlask or the s&j nano for my 8.5"

I was actually looking at the S&J nano(fluted) for my LMT (the other day) to give it a modern day look. Might do it and the price it right.
Last time I looked the XB1 was sold out at DLASK.
