M24 or M28?
You have to remember, these rifles were more then likely updated with small changes and probably have a transition of sorts.
My M61 didn't have any scope bases, although there was one that was dovetailed. I know who bought it, but sadly I don't think he ever had the chance to shoot it in this world.
I had mine drilled and tapped, which was extra work for the smith as the M61 receivers are case hardened. I liked it so much I got another M61 and had it D&T'd, although I won't be shooting it until spring.
I also got this M70, which I chose as the wood looked nice. I completed its refinishing this week./url]
my guess would be Es 340 B. .Today, I added a beautifull single shot rifle to my collection.
One of my good friend owned the rifle for several years and he finally decided to sell it to me.
Its made in a small German town named Oberndorf am Neckar.
So for now, we will call it the mystery rifle but any guesses are welcome
Will ad pics soon...
my guess would be Es 340 B. .
Heckler and Koch manufactures in Oberndorf am Neckar, but I don't think they made a single shot .22LR model. The French firm MAS may have used the Mauser plant in Oberndorf after WWII but it's not clear that they produced single shots. Not a Mauser, you say, but does it have KKW stamped on it?
I would guess it is one of the German style martini target rifles
3 of mine
Top is a side lever Rook replica
Middle is salvaged BSA exCadet rifle, my "take it with me" rimfire
Bottom is a Alex Henry clone with left sidelock

Well played but wrong answer.
Ok enough of mystery...
Its a Feinwerkbau Modell 2000. There is really not much infos for these rifles on the net.
Even on Google, there is only a couple and they don't wear the same stock as mine and they also don't have the gold engravings.
My guess would be a special run, honestly I don't know. My friend, who owned it for many years don't know more about this rifle.
Maybe I could send an email to Feinwerkbau and see if they have infos about this rifle,
Enough talking, pics will talk by themself...
