Congratulations, ben777lemay. That is an outstanding rifle. There can't be many of those around.

There's a pdf online that has an exploded diagram and parts list in German and English. Google "Small Bore Rifle Modell 2000 Super Match - Feinwerkbau" You may have it but others may have interest.

On the FWB site, there is 4 different versions of the Model 2000 and none of them wear the same stock as mine...

A 40X.... nice!

I finally tracked down the original tube sights my Mts-12 was setup for as the original owner in England told me. The shop I bought the rifle from still had them lying around and didnt know what they went to!!!

The tube sights are very interesting. Do they have lenses? Can you tell us a little more about them?

The rear is a steel AL Freeland tube with no lenses. It has an adjustable aperture at the rear, and the mounts are external adjusting Unertl.... The tube is moves around in the same exact fashion as a vintage external adjustable scope. The front is just a large hooded globe that you swap out clear/colored discs with black rings.

AL Freeland sold his sight tubes with Unertl mounts.

Nice rifles. I also have a 54.30 ( see a page 4 of this thread ) and I am expecting delivery of a Rem 40X that I am importing from the States. Yours look fantastic; and with that S and B scope...

Thanks for the information. I was unfamiliar with these sights.

Here is a Schutlz and Larsen M61. I haven't yet had the pleasure of shooting with it, but that will change -- in a few months. The scope in silver is not my first choice, but its price made it impossible to resist.

Thanks Gilbert, the 40x is my favourite rifle that I own. Shoots incredibly well considering it’s age and condition of the bore.

Very nice!

What do you guys think about this one.... may have to pull the trigger. Cant say I have seen them with these sights. The palm-rest is a plus.

Not that familiar with the Schultz & Larson. However Tradex has some that look very similar for $500 Canadian. No import fees or exchange rate. Worth checking there first.

The rifle shown in the link looks to be in good condition. It is not an M61 as advertised. I think it's an M47 or M49. The M61 has a stock like the rifle shown in post #132. Nothing wrong with the smooth curves and beautiful lines of the older rifle as seen in post #101.

Thats great... the older the better and that makes it C&R.
