Show us yer Chrome Plated Milsurps!!!

A Dark red paint job (without the hammer and sickle symbol), and a satin nickle finish instead of chrome would have looked better IMHO. :)
 
At the Chiang Kai Shek memorial hall here in Taipei, there is a rather elaborate changing of the guards ceremony a few times a day, and they've got Chromed U.S. M1's and 1911's, with blackened wood. I'll try and get some pics up here sooner than later...
 
Chromed Toys

I recently picked up a pack of chromed parts for a No4.

They are still in the shipping bag un opened. I also have about 30 chromed or nickel plated bayonets mostly US and Commonwealth. They range from a1853 sword bayonet to present.

Actually, though, this rifle came from my brother, for whom it was "made" - we are of very similar size, and it "fits" me about as well as any rifle I have ever hefted ... To be honest, however, I have never fired it ... :rolleyes:
 
Hey Ollie, any idea why the fellow on the left has his bolt half open? Those fellows look to smart for that to be an accident. I suspect the rifles are non funtional and maybe the return spring is missing. bearhunter

There is a chromed FN C1A1 at CFLRS St. Jean in the admin building in a presentation case. I thought it looked pretty hot. Wish I would've taken a picture.

IMHO that's a vast improvement over the Number 5 buttstock. :D
I'd be happy to own that one. :)

That rifle of Grants is actually good looking and could be very handy but a No 5!
The horror! I wonder if it could be de cromed and put in a No 5 stock?
It would not even be a good hunting rifle with the wandering zero. At least it looks like it was well done though.
