Show us your deer mounts!

Still my favorite. Looks ok for 30 years old, ears bent down from all the little ones hugging them when under the xmas tree with the big red bows over the years :)
Cheers

Cool. Both of these were road kills at the time from different areas thus not true twins. Remember paying $550 to get them done and the OK from the Dnr . That was a lot money 30 years ago for me
The smiles on the little ones that seen them over the years was priceless
Cheers

Same here 3macs, road kill and a permit from the MNR, though not as old as yours. Still, very nice mounts bud!! This place is full of mounts and fur, both myself and (mostly) Little White Dove have been collecting it for years, the house looks like some hunting lodge with a fetish for wildlife lol. Still need a few cats, which are waiting to go to the taxidermist, and find a wolverine somewhere.

Was the same here also until we sold the bigger house and I had to pass some on. Only had one cat . A bob cat but did have a wolf full body which is now in a diner
He was super cool . Mine were all done the freezed dry?? I think method it was called and was to fall apart the old taxidermists said at the time but none ever did
I will try to find a cat pic and sneek him in here. My apologies to others for the hyjack
Cheers

Here you go

Here's the first mounts I've ever had done. Both are last years deer. The whitetail is my wife's and her first rifle deer, and the mule deer is my first mulie. I had Jesse of Vivid Taxidermy do the work and I'm thoroughly impressed with his attention to detail!

Whitetail I shot 2 or 3 years ago.
Best part about about this deer is there is a real dickhead of a landowner whose land is adjacent to some friends property we hunt.
Apparently he likes to hunt everyone's land but allows no one on his.
Last day of season I'm leaning up on his fence post hunting my friend's land. Hear a quad coming, which is illegal in SK unless retrieving a deer.
Two does pop out followed by this buck, one shot with a 25/06 and the season ends. :)

Pickles, you forgot to remove the tag :p

Kelly, is that because you spend too much time chasing samsquantch? Lol just teasing bud.

Looks like a similar system to what I use for European mounts, http://www.skullhooker.com

they have two sizes, the Big Hooker and the Little Hooker.

A skull hooker set up was what my Daughter used for the European mount she did for me on my Antelope from last seasons hunt on draw in Alberta.

The Mule Deer mounted on the wood plaque set-up to the left is the European mount she did up for me on my 1st Alberta Mule Deer.

I like them because they are strong, and adjustable in all directions, amazing how much weight they can hold too!!
