How much is that '03 and that Johnson 41 worth?

Not sure of current market value as I purchased them years ago. IIRC the Johnson was 500.00, the Springfield 350.00 and the Krag 200.00. The original (not repro) Johnson bayonet and scabbard came from the US. I looked a long time before finding an all original unmessed with Springfield (Remington M1903M) in excellent condition.

Sold my Johnson for fat cash to an American a few years ago. Export application got denied the first time, but after a year they let it go through. Bought a motorcycle with the proceeds. I miss it a bit, but sure like the bike!

This thread didn't get a lot of play when it was posted, most likely because a Johnson is like he's teeth. When this thread was posted, I thought "Gee, I wish I had one I could post" and so now I do. (Thank the heavens for fate and luck). Anyhow, I thought I would add mine now.

Just let me whip out my Johnson :p

Let's see if this works...

WHOA! Big pitures! Cool, though. Never seen one!

So, I guess the M-1 Garand pushed these aside?...

Sorry about the size, I didn't have my digicam on the wknd so my brother put them up and we didn't resize before doing it.

Anyhow, I don't know if the Garand pushed these aside, I think the Garand was already up an running, but Johnson did try and sell it to the Army as an MBR and it didn't fly because the Garand was already entrenched. And I read that Johnson had a couple personality conflicts that effectively ended any real possibility of these being used to any great degree. Fugly looking rifle to be sure, but neat for its history.

I have yet to take 'er out and shoot it.
