Wow, that’s stunning! I love the Henry classic look with the brass, but that is pretty damn ###y. If I get the chance to shoot one I will have to compare it to the Henry. If it wins in performance I may consider swapping (or more likely, just ass another one

My next Skinner order will include a barrel mount peep for it. Still debating if I will replace the front sight if I don't need to for the peep.

I really love Henrys. I have one of their lever .410s and that thing is so ridiculously fun to fire.
This Chiappa was a bit of a shot in the dark for me as I had certainly read some disappointing posts/reviews about them, but when I opened that one up I was very very impressed. It is a beautiful gun and the fit and finish really impressed me. When I ordered the full stock the fellow I chatted with said a bit of sanding or fitting might be necessary but it fit as perfectly as the factory mare's leg stock and looks flawless.
I've wanted a 92 for a while now and 44 mag was an easy decision but this gun has truly impressed me. It will have a home here forever.

Rifle came in the mail today, what a beauty. Absolutely stunning to look at. She is a heavy little rifle, doesn’t bother me in the least. Solid, rugged and compact. What a looker! Action is smooth as butter, much different than my marlins, and certainly my Winchester’s. Nice trigger, no sponge, crisp break. Barrel is thicker than my marlin 45/70, and has a colt like polish.

I've got a Rossi in 45 Colt. Finally slapped a rail and a red dot on it, which greatly improves it's usefulness. Much more accurate and faster to shoot. Only further mod I will do is to smooth out the sharp edge of the buttplate. I put the stock up against my cheek, similar to if it had a full stock, and the sharp edge is a bit scratchy. Was just shooting it today, along with my MDI SLR in 6.5 Grendel
Yeah for sure. Not only does it make it more functional, they still look really sharp. I am pretty intrigued by the whole mares leg design. I would like to put a hundred rounds down range and see how it works out for comfort, accuracy and handling. I can see the appeal of keeping the short but stock. Super easy to handle , in and out of the truck with ease, and with a sling or holster it would be an excellent dangerous wildlife carry piece.
I am interested to hear others experience with the holsters. Seems like a great idea and there are some high quality options out there. But it’s a lot of gun to have your hip. Also, those holsters ain’t cheap. $225 or so for the beaver mountain works. Would be great to see or try one before purchasing. Can’t seem to find any review videos online. Anyone have experience?

YUp, one of those things that's neither fish nor fowl, just useless in a practical situation.

Now you'll have to order a taller front sight. POI will be about 6"+ high at 50 yards with the rear sight set at its lowest setting.
Can't remember but I think I ordered the full length stock from Wolverine but you can order direct from Henry. Same goes with the standard loop, I prefer it over the large loop for cycling the lever faster.
