Polished it for 2 days. Used to have a mirror finish. Still does

A bit of a behemoth, this WWI vintage S&W Hand Ejector MkII in .455 has provenance to a Lieutenant in the 29th Battalion CEF:

My Dad had bought this for the princely sum of $50 circa 1958 [which would be worth around $555 today] from a now long defunct gunshop in downtown Victoria. He passed it on to me in the mid 80's when he & Mom moved into a new home they built to retire to.

The wood box presentation box is for S&W's but is not original to the revolver. It's something I acquired along the way. [Figured this old girl deserved a nice place to rest]. I also added the Tyler T grip so it would be more comfortable to shoot. If she could only talk, eh?

Had a couple Colt revolvers (last purchases before the freeze) blasted and loving the look so much... quick pic of the Python re-assembled :

Here's the masking I did on them (hot glue gun over aluminum foil) before sending them off to Tactical Ordinance for the glass-blasting :

LoL I did the opposite with my s&w 686.

That's a sweet gun. Always wanted a colt. But could never afford them.. especially last few years before the ban. Damn walking dead, ruined it for me.
