I had to sell quite of my “never sell” guns to keep the lights on when the Covid shut down hit and still haven’t financially recovered, but there’s nothing like a liberal government to give one the motivation to reprioritize. These might not be quite compatible to what I sold off, but there’s a SA revolver, a DA revolver and a Beretta-style DA semi all in cheap-to-shoot .22lr, along with a 9mm 1911. There’s also a small fortune in extra mags for the semis and aftermarket wood grips for the lot of them, but if these guns are going to be with me for the rest of my life they may as well look nice.

I just got a 6” .357 mag because as a forester I can apply for an ATC and I thought better now than never (I’ve never shot any bigger than 9mm before this). I’m seeing all the .44s and I’m wondering if I should have gone that way instead.

I must have missed this post earlier. As a new RPAL holder you nailed it man, congrats. All you need. An awesome .22 that eats anything and everything and is so much easier to clean than the older ones, a reliable 9mm poly that will initially frustrate the crap out of you and and the Shadow 2 that will be your favourite gun even though you may not know it yet. Great choices!

Was trying to get a PDP Pro SD, but that didn't pan out, so I ended up with the regular version instead, along with a Dynamic Performance Trigger.
Pretty sure the VFG makes this a prohibited machine gun...
It's actually a federal crime to do this in the US, unless you make a special application to the ATF and pay a $200 tax stamp:

This is one of those rare instances where a firearms law is more restrictive in the US than in Canada (at least for now).
