Show your PYTHONs & Snakes Here +++

Wow! Those are sweeeeet! Don't know if you remember Dan Tanner(Robert Urich). The private eye in the 70's/80's tv series Vegas? He carried one of those beasts. The big long barrel one.

Images won't show for me. Just little question marks.

Images work fine now. Sweet Pythons. I just spent an hour and a half in the workshop giving my baby a good cleaning. I even broke out the ultrasonic cleaner to do the cylinder.

Mine doesn't look nearly as fine as the photos posted above. Mine has been shot more I guess but it is a joy to run.

I'd love to find a good source for some of the exterior screws to dress it up a little. The previous owner obviously didn't know how screw drivers work, or which screw goes where when reassembling.

I'll try to get some good photos up when I get the chance.

This is my second as I foolishly sold the first one I had that was in Colt Royal Blue. This one is an earlier production model, 1957. Main differences being the grips and checkering, the front sight and the area on either side of the rear sight.

Too expensive to hand assemble/fit and market dried up economically speaking. Also Colt had issues with unions and the craftsmen that were allowed to make these left the company.
Both of mine are shooters, just not too often, after all I am also a S&W lover.
Why did they stop making these???????

Beautiful Pythons OP, mine wasn't as nice, but it was a real pleasure to shoot. I really regret selling it :(

Please let me know if you ever decide to sell the blued one...
