i'd bet money that isn't factory but it is nice revolver nonetheless. The ones I saw had the rings attached directly to the rib. I've never seen a factory python with that mount. That certainly isn't proof but if the gun itself is not roll-marked and we are talking probabilities...

Look at the setup for the Anaconda Hunter. Exactly the same. It's a Leupold scope on a Burris mount. The mount is machined underneath specially to fit on the snake guns. It's definitely a Colt setup. Whether or not it left the factory like this is the question. I'm getting an archive letter done so that question will be answered.
