140 gr Barnes XLC from a 6.5x55mm SE Rem 700 Classic, recovered under the hide of a hind quarter of a bull moose shot frontal at 33 yards. Still weighs 140 grains.

Pulled these A-Frames out of various buffalo on the same trip. Normally I've quit careing what the bullet looks like and think more about what the wound channel looks like.

There's something to be said about consistency!

Looks like wonderfully predictable performance.

A 35Rem 200gr SP_corelokt which now weighs 165grs - 82.5% retained weight which is pretty good. Went thru a bear at 20yds or so. I found bullet in offside hide.

Of the blacktail deer and black bear I've shot between 30 and 250 yards, with blue box Federal 30-06 loads, I've yet to recover a bullet.

Does it happen often?

wow nice bullets! i really like the solid. that was shot into a giraffe?

Yeah, the 350 grain Barnes TSX's were used on giraffe. They've got really heavy (solid) leg bones that these bullets deflected off/broke through.

Great bullets but I'd probably go with the same in the 300 grain version (instead of 350 gr) next time.

Whitetail buck at about 25yds from a tree stand. Quartering away shot, behind the last rib and recovered under the shoulder on the opposite side. 6.5x55 Swed factory PMC 139gr SP.

Bull moose at 100 yds. Quartering toward shot between neck and shoulder. Bullet recovered in the rear opposite quarter. 7mm Rem Mag factory Federal 160gr TSX.

Are those corelokts available anywhere in bulk? I have a Rem 141 I'd like to try them in.

Think so but scarcer now and lots more $$ than they used to be - now $45. Last I bought were from Wholesale Sports. They still list them but I can't say if that means they have them in stock. However don't go by the website pic (loaded ammo box). Use drop down menus to find them. You want the 200 SP not the PSP (pointed soft point) - which you know already I think.

180 grain Nosler Protected Point Partition recovered from under the hide (offside shoulder) of a moose shot at about 200 yards. Shot from a 300 Winchester through both shoulders.

350gr X Bullet (not TSX) recovered from a Southern Greater Kudu. Fired from a 416 Rigby with the animal quartering toward me. Recovered under the hide on the offside ham.

I've got other bullets but, apparently, no pics.
