What a beauty, you ever fire it?
Barrel only is getting close to 500 thousands. Stop counting long time ago. Start showing a signs of wear but still holds 5 cm grouping at 50m
That one I own more than 25 years now, never had to replace a single part.

Back in 1965 (Yes some people were around then, and still!) after stepping on to the cold linoleum floor in my bare feet, at 7am! In the Town of St Helens, Lancashire UK. And scraped the window pane free of frost!

I announced to my Wife at the time (The new, and last one of 20 years, is next door sleeping!) "We are going to Australia" She said When! Thinking I was talking like 12 noon.

Three months later we were on a ship, the SS Australis, Chandris lines, bound for Sydney.

Stopped in Port Said, the Southern start of the Suez canal, Egypt., (Now the meat of this rambling story)

Our Family of 4 rented a big old (but spotless) Taxi, a large American 4 door car, vintage. The driver took us to the edge of the Desert, where we could see the Pyramids (saved us a lot, most Taxi drivers take you to them, not just to see them) and whilst negotiating a narrow street, a street trader, deliberately turned his hand cart into the Taxi, dumping his wares on the ground! Now screaming bloody murder, a local Police Officer was soon at the scene.

He soon reduced the volume of discussion, but the Taxi driver was now petrified! I was outside the car, and asked the Officer if he spoke English? In perfect English he stated "Yes Sir I do" as I was in the front seat at the start of the whole kerfuffle, I explained what happened, the deliberately caused collision.

He waved the Taxi over to the side, gave the street merchant a terrific slap to the side of the head, and waved me over also to the side, into some shade. I seemed to remember some cash was slipped to the Officer by our Driver. Not sure, it was a long time ago.

I complemented the Officer on his English, and the new Sig 210, walnut grips protruding from his holster!
He took it from his holster, turned it side to side, so I could see it (not touch it) spotless.

He said it was incredibly accurate, I asked him if it was Issued, a Duty weapon. He raised his eyebrows, smiled, and bid me good day! I think that could have been a good story.

It appeared I had saved the Taxi from ending up in the canal! Unlike other Taxi riders from the Ship, we were not ripped off. I will end by complementing the owners here, beautiful pistols.

Okay....I have to ask. What justifies the extremely high price tag on these pistols? I see basic guns here and there for $2000 and up...it seems like a heck of a lot.

Please understand that I am a fan of Sig pistols myself...I have two, a Norc copy of a third and will probably buy more, esp. if Sig ever produces a P220 in 10mm. But none of them come close in price to a p210. What gives?

They are rare and collectible.

Same reason why high-end 1911's command a high a price tag. Build quality, accuracy, attention to detail.
