I'm with you on the p220 in 10mm. that would be sweet. i have an all stainless p220 5" match elite which would be perfect in 10mm.

On the p210, it is the nicest pistol i've handled. very high quality workmanship and finishing - tight, smooth, super accurate, and perfect ergonomics imo. A 210 will be the last gun i sell.
 
210 pistols are hand fitted. I have a 210-5 and 2 210-2. They are many year's apart in production, but the fit is about the same.

I bought mine from Guisan and had it installed by by Markus at the Calgary Shooting Center.
Bottom of sight bases have to be ground down to fit your dovetail grooves.

I know Markus can get you one from Waffen Wyss ,or maybe direct from Dobler.

I got them from Spain, they much better ergonomics than original. But they are laser cut in rosewood I could not resist.
I see this thread has been resurrected, Allow me to use this opportunity to announce to CGN community that first time ever P210 Legend safety lever extensions have been developed.
Still do not have pics (some from manufacturing phase) but they are pretty similar to a classic P210 model.
If any one is interested drop me a call.

P210 manufacturing methods were really expensive especially back in times of its production. Swiss managed to achieve total interchangeability of the P210 parts which was in SCI-FI domain for all arms manufacturers of that era - even today. Swiss military was able to field strip a batch of pistols, mix match all of the parts and put together all pistols to prove every single one to function.
Not only that but they incorporated best features of all known handguns of that time. Accuracy starts with P08 internal railing design, wrap around grips features from P38, integral hammer unit from T33, lockup design from MAS 1935 - even greater accuracy, magazine positive lock again from P38, doing away with bushing - more accuracy and so on. This created beautiful Frankenstein monster with unprecedented quality that stands even today. With special steel Swiss used in manufacturing of P210 for military purpose life span expectancy for barrel was way beyond of 1911 barrel for example. P210 is virtually un-destructible while best 1911 is what 5000 maybe, springs 2000 maybe, not sure. All that for run out of the mill handgun, now imagine souped up versions price tags.

When you get used to a 210. all the later Sauer models are nowhere the same quality and feel.
In Swiss military Service shoots, the point requirements for the 210 and Luger are higher than for all the later models of their service pistols
E.G. 220, 226 etc.
 
The P210-5 was offered in 150mm and 180mm extended length barrels. Longer barrels give you a longer sight picture and are in theory more accurate. The P210 in this picture is the 180mm barrel. It's fairly rare. A dealer recently estimated the value at around $7000 CDN.

Here is a 210-5 ls with the 150mm barrel. Beautiful. both this and the 180mm must be rare indeed.

My newest addition the P210 Legend. I went with the Legend over the Legend Target and Super Target as I like how it is the most similar to the Swiss designs. The US style mag release and beaver tail are welcome additions for a gun I'll shoot more often than the P210-5. It has less character then the Swiss pistols, but the build quality seems as good as far as I can tell.

Thread revival!

Picked up this beautiful like new early '78 high polished P210-1 dual caliber conversion (7.65 Para/9mm) recently. Judging by the general condition, this one saw very very few rounds.

Been looking for a '78 production P210-1 for a long while since it was the 125th anniversary of Sig and the last year of production before the long halt. They eventually resumed production in 1983 with some changes in production methods (CNC vs. Forgings).

Here's a few snapshots after the initial cleanup.
