This is an update to my Wingmaster post (post #400 on page 40)


My 14" Wingmaster barrel arrived today, here is a picture with the Police furniture and 14" barrel:

Love the stock, as much as I love my original 'fleur de lis' stock on my wingmaster, I may just have to get ahold of a gun just to get one with the police stock for my 14" barrel.

Nice collection, Beavermeat. Looks like you have solved the Remington vs. Mossberg debate with a very logical solution.

I've always found 870s to point very well. The Mossbergs are good too, but... the Remington's are "snap"... that means faster to sight, and faster to rack. That's why I went with more accurate sighing systems on my 870Ps. I found a rifle sighted 870P to be quicker with follow-up shots in comparison to a ghost ring sighted 590A1. I am ludicrously fast and accurate with that 20" 870P. It's my favourite shotgun.

Compstock?

SGA handles recoil great. The Magpul recoil pad is top notch. Even better with a SuperCell.

Compstock is the non-pistol grip version of the Knoxx SpecOps. It is similar to an OEM synthetic stock, but it has recoil compensation built into it.

On shotguns, yes. I like my shotguns to be sling free. Trying a sling out on the 870P for the heck of it.

Just in from Reliable Gun. The service was fast and the price was right

. This one does not have the advertised ghost ring sights, it has a low profile notch and skinny un protected blade up front. It comes with one magazine and 1 installed choke. It has a sling attachment point mounted between the stock and receiver which is a nice surprise.
Since these pictures were taken I stripped it and wiped it down inside and out. After the fact I installed a red dot. The red dot works well on this gun, no co witness though.

Thanks. I like both wood and plastic. Cant argue with the Magpul egros and wood is....well good!
