Did a similar setup for my 6.5" Dlask. Had to pin the stock though.
 
That is pretty much the exact same setup I post a little while ago. The shortest you can legally go and still be NR. Loved that setup and will build another one someday.

I had this one threaded. It was not cheap where I had it done because the barrel was short and didnt fit correctly in their jig. But it was worth it IMO. It looked awesome and I like the extra length beyond the fore end.

I had a CTR with the extended butt pad on it but if you look at the way the CTR is shaped closest to the grip, it hangs down below the tube. This section of the stock would dig into my hand when I held the gun with the stock collapsed. The MFT stock is angled in this area and left more than enough room for my hand. I will admit, the MFT isnt the most comfortable stock to use on a 12 gauge, but in reality, I wasn't running 100's of rounds through it all the time. It was a gun for emergencies and in those circumstances, I wouldn't be worried about my shoulder.

I was thinking about the MESA Tactical high-tube adapter, but it's so much more than the regular adapter:

If you use the high tube adapter you can no longer use the bead sight... at all. I wanted to make sure I could still shot the gun if I removed the red dot. And by using the magwedge top rail with the slot in the middle, aiming was actually better (without the red dot installed) than it was with no rail. Worked great.

My earlyish 2000's Rem 870 express mag. Police 14" barrel, police trigger group, police extractor, Scattergun 1 shot extension with upgraded mag spring and follower, jumbo safety, Magpul furniture and sling mount, Vickers sling w/2-1 point stud on sling, Inforce wml.

I've dragged this thing around with me all over the place on different bush adventures. It's had many incarnations, but I think I'm finally satisified. Just need it vang comp'd and refinished, except the bolt, I like some part of it to show it's hard use.



Another I thought looked cool. Was checking chamber before going to ground under my siltarp in the mountains last weekend. Thought it would make a good picture.



Side note: I carry the 870 condition 3 hammer down, but sleep condition 1. Leave it beside me on my ruck rain cover. My rational being, I fall, often.

Awesome setup, that's nearly identical to my next build.
