Ran into a sportered Lee Enfield ShtLE ConD IV. also DP Marked. My understanding is that these are converted Long Lee enfields. How common are they? I don't normlly pick up sporters as I have a few already but Are they rare enough to jump on even a sportered DP one?

Rare? - Yes. Lots made, but not many originals have survived. They got surplused and consumed by the civvy market. Many I see are sportered and end up as hunt camp beaters or Farmer Brown's vermin gun. Most have very high mileage.

Valuable? Maybe. However, it will likely cost more to restore than resale value, especially if you have to buy replacement parts at today's prices.
If you happen to have parts, put it back into a decent woodset and shoot it, they are great fun and ammo can be cheap if you reload..

Worth picking up? - Yes, absolutely!

Interesting, What about the DP marking? I know this oculd mean a veriety of reasons for why it was DP'd but would this effect the value? Rifle is also missing the charger bridge, but it was removed not cut off.

The modification by removal of the bridge does hurt the value a lot. But unless the rest of the gun is original, you are working on a project that would only ever be a parts gun anyway and not a highly desired collectable. A replacement bridge could be installed.

If you are thinking about this gun as a project to flip and make a few bucks down the road, then this is not the gun for you.
If you are thinking of putting a lot of time effort and cash into a project and maybe, just maybe, break even if you were to sell, then yes. It's a fun thing to do.

DP of course means that it was not used as shooter in the military. One would have to check to see if it has post service proof marks, many DP rifles do, which means the proof house didn't blow it up with their overload cartridge. Many DPs just have a zillion miles of dry firing on them.
Reproofed DPs I have fired, but I don't recommend that others do (just my disclaimer).
