hey guys

anyone use these? is ###### arms the only place that has them that will ship to Canada? is there somewhere to get it IN Canada?

also anyone have any info on the high volume non adjustable gas plug in this regard and availability?

This is an interesting Garand gas plug, but unfortunately he does not ship to Canada last time I checked.

There is a CGN'r that sells adjustable gas plugs, just can't remember the name. Search the milsurp EE

I bought a solid one from a seller on ebay and machined it hollow in he lathe,works very well.

I have a Schuster adjustible on the M1A,I think i got it from Brownells,takes a bit of adjusting but it works OK.

Just use M1 specific ammo or better yet, roll your own. In 40 years of shooting the M1 rifle I have NEVER had the need for any kind of special gas lock screw. Don't cave in to all the unnecessary gimmicks.

I agree,i roll my own as well,but these so called "gimmicks " give you a lot more flexibility what ammo you can use.

i just ordered one from brownells. even though im only shooting garand safe handloads, i shoot it a lot and i figured this would be a good way to baby the op rod.

I do the same, roll my own with IMR4895 and combo it with a adjustable plug until it just has enough oomph to cycle reliably. Both are safe on their own, but garands haven't exactly gotten cheaper since I got mine, so why chance it.
