they are absolutely not in the same class!

It is like comparing shrimpled potatoes with golden apples.

In this case, the mosin is the potato.

If anything the mosin is a beat, its ugly its tough and hard not the best thing out there but you learn to love it regardless. Because at the end of the day if all els fails you can still wack someone in the head with it and ruin their day.

Personally, I wouldn't want to get whacked with a Mauser either.

Both are rock solid combat proven battle rifles. I'll take both, please. Russian peasants can be just as hot as refined German fräuleins.

Thanks for all the replies guys I really appreciate them. I was just returning from the range with an M91, M39 and 91/30 when my best mate rocked up with this magnificent unfired Brazilian Mauser that he got that day after picking it up on the EE, I had never seen one, and wanted to compare the overall length to the M91 when I took the picture and decided to post it for some entertainment, shrimpled potato for the win, wacking someone in the head, peasants and fraüleins a close second!

YOu guys choosing the FInn are nuts. It's a $300 rifle, tops. Sure, they shoot ok, but not better than the Mauser, which is a $1200 rifle, give or take, with old world fit and finish. You could sell the Mauser and have 4 of those finns or more.
