Side Rail For Mounting Optics on CZ 858

$45 to install it on a SA 58, or CZ 58?

The only way I can think of to fit that rail to a CZ would be to install nuts inside the receiver. It might be an easy way to get what you are looking for.

I was wondering about the thickness but the Gunsmith said no problems.

The receiver walls are paper thin. How is the rail secured to the receiver ?

If I were you I would stick on washers and nuts to support it, it would only take a minute. As it is now it's an accident waiting to happen.

You don't need washers and nuts. The walls on the 858 are only 15 thou thinner than on the CSA. I have seen many with the mounts done just by being drilled and tapped and haven't heard from any of them of the side of their reciever coming off.

I was confused as to accident waiting to happen. I am new to this so i could be wrong. With the screws on the ouside the worst that could happen is mount becomes loose. With the screws on the inside screw could come off/loose and jam causing damage.

As I said the gunsmith who did it said the wall were thick enough, and I had asked specificcly about that.

It is liable to be easily damaged the way it is, that is what I meant by an accident waiting to happen.

a little blue loctite should keep the screws from coming loose.

never seen a good mounting system for an 858 ... just a real pain the way you have to take the dust cover off for cleaning. Like mine just fine with open sights

So far i like this one with the side rail

Our railed optic mounts are solid & they center perfectly, you can still remove the dust cover & bolt with the mount in place. We also have the bolt down style.

So does use the side rail that we are discussing? And looking at it i think it would have issues with case hits, does it have a deflecter?
