I bought a side saddle for my HP-9 which attached using 2 hex-key screws. I went on to buy a scope mount for it, which also attaches using similiar screws.

I want to pick up a set of screws that are 1/4" or so longer so I can screw in the side saddle as well as the scope mount.

Anyone have any suggestions how or where I can find them?

any fastener store should be able to get you the right hardware. bring in the ones you have and so they can match the threads.

i had a 22 rifle that required a post sight, and i couldnt find anything on the EE, i went down to the local 'action fasteners'. I called ahead to make sure the gun wouldnt freak them out. Then, with my 22 walked in, handed it to the owner and he found me a little bolt with the right threads. i took it home, filled it into a sight and just keep taking steel off the top until i reached the right height. then i blue'ed it with one of those cheap kits from canadian tire, and it turned out great.

Here's what the heads look like and how I used a set with a sidesaddle so that an LE Rem stock would fold closed.

They are exactly .25" longer.

Don't mean to hi-jack but is that a piece of felt on the backside of the saddle?

Indeed it is.

I had that one installed on a different gun and found the felt to eliminate wear on the side of the receiver if you ever remove it. I did need to watch for moisture retention. No probs ever though.

Funny (or stupid) story - reason I want the screws; I was messing around and I wanted to experiment with some 5 minute epoxy to glue my side saddle on to my scope mount. I knew it wouldn't last long, but just for the lock I wanted to try it out (I figured maybe a dozen shots).

I go to the range, fired a 12 ga 3" slug and physics took over. Tremendous rearword force and the side saddle came back and clipped me right in the teeth.

The RSO's at the range were laughing their assess off and I got two chipped teeth to teach me the lesson that epoxy glue for an application like that is not a good idea.

Worst part is I had 6 slugs in the side saddle at the time, so it hit with that much more force :)
