Side Scope or No Side Scope?

Would you put a scope on a M92 in a .44 Rem Mag (top eject lever gun)

If so what type Please note that I'm next best thing to broke so not expensive but a decent scope.

I'd just shoot it with the iron sights.

I'd leave it iron sights. Not sure of your intended use, but you don't want to get carried away with thoughts of long distance shooting with that caliber. Its dropping pretty dramatically after 100 yards. I'd limit my shots to 125 yards or less. Any error in judging distance makes a significant change in trajectory at 100 plus yards.

I had peep sights on a 30-30 and I liked them. Not sure if that's an option. Next best thing to a scope.

I wonder if something that's forward of the ejector on the action could be mounted...a red dot style scoping option perhaps?

legacy offers a scope mount that mounts where your rear sight is. Replaces it It does. I also just realized that the octagonal barreled rifle has been set up for a tang sight. Also reading that you can nail a grape fruit at 200 yards using the leverevolution ammo with the M92 XP (doesn't come fitted for a tang as it's a 20" carbine) wonder what distance you could hit a target using the standard rifle. So now what's a good tang sight or are they all the same?
