sierra 180 gr. pro hunter round nose data for 308 winchester

made a search but only for 30-06

I have 2 box of sierra pro hunter 180 gr. round nose and will be using alliant reloader 15
need some loads please

rifle sako carbonlite 20 inches barrel

to be used for moose…. within 200 yards

Reloder15 is the preferred powder for my 308. I follow the data in Speer Reloading Manual No.12 for 180gr bullets and Re15 (Remington 700 used to develop this data) -

Use 180 gr data for the .308.
Bullet shape doesn't matter. Start low and work up. I'm a Varget man myself.

I have the Sierra page for the 308 and the max with the 180 PH round nose is 41.3 gr of R15
and on all other website Hodgdon and others the max is way higher like in the 44 gr……

that puzzles me…..
not searching for hot load just a good safe loads since the shot are 200 yards at the most
and the rifle weight is 6 pound with appoint micro t2 sight…..recoil is stif but OK

As always, start on the lower side and work up to see what your rifle and your your shoulder likes.

For the Speer load data above, the manual states IMI cases and CCI 200, 250 and No.34 primers were used. Also shown below is 308 180gr load data from the Woodleigh Bullets Loading Manual that lists Re15 (and Re17). Rifle and components used not specified -
