I'm looking to develop a good all purpose deer hunting and target shooting load for a 7 08. Typically I like to have a one good all purpose load and just shoot that out of any one given rifle.

I've used Nosler and Hornady a lot but have never gotten into Sierra bullets. What kind of experiences have you fellas found with Sierra products in terms of the accuracy and game performance of sierra products.

Also what has been your results with 120 gr vs 140 gr bullets in the 7 08

Thanks

I'm using IMR 4350 in my 7-08 Ackley. Forty-four grains with 140's and 45 grains with 120's. Not even hot loads in a 7-08 but these loads shoot good in my Ackley and I've never felt the need to change.
I've used Sierra Game Kings for over 40 years in all my hunting rifles and I have no reason to change them either. The 140 Sierras have killed 3 elk in the 7-08 since I started using it.

This is what I use in my 24" Remington XHR

Shot a spiker mulie with this load last season. 1 shot, ran 30 yards, fell down dead.
