I bought my first restricted recently, a used Sig not from a CGN'r. I took it to the range the day after I got it and it performed terribly with American Eagle Federal ammo high vel. 40gr. I cant find anywhere on the package where it states the actual velocity. Maybe I've got a bad batch? On returning from the range I took it apart to find that the Firing pin safety plunger is missing. It does not seem to be part of the GSG spare parts kit. An outfit in the US taylor tactical is the only place I have found so far that has this part but the website clearly states no international shipping. Has anyone encountered this before? I can see that it would be an easy part to lose. Does Anyone know who the Canadian distributor for Sig branded GSG arms is? Or does anyone carry this part? I am have to try my hand at machining one using my drill chuck as a mini lathe.

I have a Sig 1911 .22 GSG. I don’t know what contribution the missing part makes to performance, but mine is picky about ammo, and does not like too much oil. CCI mini-mags work well, the federal was more prone to problems. They don’t run well dirty, so the longer the session the more problems.
I don't think it has a firing pin plunger in the spare parts kit.
