I plan to purchase a sig 1911 22 cal and was wondering what people who have owned them think of them, and i do know the gsg is the same pistol but prefer the sig name
I have the Colt 1911 .22lr, Gov. model, with the rail under the slide, it's a good pistol, weight is in the handle, shoot with a beautiful pistol sound, VERY accurate....you have no idea !! easy to clean...it's my wife's gun, but when I can I took it for some shooting, I give it a good try, the barrel was so hot, works flawless....this 1911 as the same dimension has my reming. r1 1911 .45acp... )
Save your self some time and money,,buy the Sig P226 in 22,,that way later on you can buy exchange kits to convert to 9mm,,357 sig,,40cal,,buy yourself a real 1911 either a Sig,,S&W,,STI,,Colt,,they are all good

+1. You don't save money off the bat, but in the long run you will as you want to get into centerfire calibers. One frame, a bunch of calibers. Sig 1911 22 is just a GSG, I wouldn't pay more for the name.
