Sig 1911

I've got a Sig 1911 XO (stainless steel, black coated, black grips)... Bought it in November.

Excellent gun. Tight slide-to-frame fit. Excellent accuracy. Just under 4 lb. trigger (now that the series 80 safety has been removed).

Got about 1k rounds through it. Only 1 FF so far (and I think that bullet was a little too far into the case initially). I've only used FMJ ball ammo, so I can't comment on the ability to feed any other type.

All said, a very good stock pistol. I have no regrets and am very happy with the value for the money. I read some of the stuff on the 'net and 1911 forums about the Sig 1911s... Based on my experience (and it is *possible* that Sig's QC is bad and the pistol vary from piece to piece), most of the detractors have not actually handled one.

I just got a pair of Chip McCormack 10 round mags for the XO... Looking forward to testing them out.

where did you buy it? thanks.

I have a Sig GSR and love it. I got it at Wolverine in 2005 and it has seen 1000s of rounds without a single malfunction. I recommend it without reservation.
