Sorry, the search function sucks for me.

Can any Sig 1911 owners chime in on quality/fit/finish? I'm in the market and I handled one today, looked pretty good.

I'm not a big European gun fan and overall would prefer to buy American but I really like their offerings with rails.

I have one (Blackwater edition)...best 1911 I have...fit/finish top notch and it's a laser beam. If you want one I wouldn't hesitate to get it...

If I were in the market for a 1911, I'd seriously contemplate the Sig Sauer 1911 Tac Pac...

$1100 for everything pictured; including Sig laser sight, 3 mags, holster, speedloader, & a fancy carry case. (P&D has one)

#10484 - Sig Sauer 1911 Tac Pac, Nitron/Synthetic, 3 Dot Sights, Red Laser, Holster, 45 ACP - 1,099.00 - NEW

* the "Sig 1911 Tac-Ops" is different than the 1911 that comes in the Tac-pac, I think it's a railed "Sig 1911 Nitron" with the rubber grips from a Tac-Ops.
** as far as exeperience with one, none except racking the slide of a Tac-Ops at a local shop. But it did feel & look better than most others, save the Nighthawk Custom they have.

Don't own one but have handled a few...they're awesome. I ended up going with a kimber but it was down to the wire with one of these in SS as well.

I personally think SIG has brought their 1911 line much further in a shorter amount of time then S&W.

I would say that the SIG has way more depth in its 1911 offerings at least it offers more models than S&W. They also have a wider array of factory features IE Threaded barrels, calibers and accessories as well as upgrades. While S&W has less offerings in 1911, they have more varients and have introduced a wide spectrum of pistols that all have exceptional fit and finish with a fresh look for factory 1911s (refering to the milling)

I have talked to several 1911 collectors who have told me that the S&W has one of the best deburring jobs of a factory 1911 they have ever seen.

I am not saying one is better than the other, both are reputible and make some amazing firearms. I love some of the Sig offers particulary the STX. However the S&W scandium frame bob commander in 2 tone is currently at the top of my gotta have it list.

My fav SIG 1911 (for finish)

Flawless

Puts more expensive guns to shame.... More accurate then my glock ( I sold by the way )

I have the 1911 Target stainless and looking to buy another 1911 Sig in 9mm

I got a chance to try one on the weekend. It is a thing of beauty. Super accurate and shot really well, but would not feed SWC's

Ive owned my Sig stainless 1911 for a year now, the fit and finish are top notch, crazy accurate There is a very informative video on You Tube uploaded by weaponseduction that covers the Sig 1911 in detail, search sig 1911 on there.

I have the 1911 Scorpion and absolutely love it! Only been out a couple times, but, accurate, no failures, feels rock solid and the best grips I've used.

Anyone seen their new Zombie 1911? Funny stuff.
