Hi, does anyone know where one might find on of these older sig's?
and how much they go for.

the sig 210 is the 9mm pistol issued to the danihs military currently, so i thought it would be a fun pistol to own, yet im unsure if they were ever made of civil use.

thanks for any information!

you can get new ones from TSE, but they are now out of production.... as for used one, ask in the EE forum, i've seen a few come up in there the past few years

i just checked at TSE, one sold for 3500 ! a little out of my price range i must say, as far as handguns are concerned, would you know if thats standard price?

none of the used Sig P210s listed on CGN were ever under $2k... from what i recall... actually 3500 is cheap, as some versions listed on TSE's price guide in previous years were up at 4500

no problem, i've had my eye on that gun for a few years now too...its simply beautiful... /w the nils grip...

anywho, the new ones from TSE comes /w a test target the has the shot placements in the form of a clover leaf i think this was at 50m, can't get anything better than that out of the box from the factory....

if you don't like the Cdn prices here are some US prices =|

definatly not a cheap gun, but i suppose, thats teh only 9mm one would ever need! yes it is indeed a very beutiful handgun, and.. you get what you pay for.

i wonder if any milsurps are available..

heres what the danish military version looks like, ofcoure a much earlier production, not as fancy as the newly made ones, but sure would be a nice sidearm!

edit, "original Danish Contract Pistole 49 may cost you more than US $ 2.000 US" hmm i wonder if theres any danish 1949 around in n. america, thats a much better price class.

I bought one from Dan banting 3 years ago it was brand new in the box all papers ,test target dated 1971 . Cost$2000. John williams some times will have one for sale. I have a PPC9 from S@W which i think is just as nice.

omg 200 dollars for an 8 round magazine?!?!?!?! that's f'ed!

well if it makes you feel any better they were last listed on the TSE price guide as $150CAD :D

as for milsurps, you don't see them very often here in Canada, there are a lot more in the states, but they are not THAT cheap either, you can go over and do a search on sigforum.com

sig210... or a beltfed semiauto mg34...

i quite amazed that the danish military have this firearm as their sidearm, the nation known for cutting corners when it comes to military spending.

maybe Canada should exchange their old high powers for a sig210 aswell :p

well to be fair i think both the danes and the swiss have replaced the P210 to SigSauers/Glocks .. i would think cost for the P210 must have been an issue as well as the relatively low capacity of the magazines

sidearm sig 210
as for rifles they use the cdn c7's
and for mg;s they use the 50 cal, and the modern mg42, what they call mg62, but i believe is also known as mg03

The Danish army bought them back in the 60's I believe. Back then they weren't nearly as expensive (or exclusive).

ahh, but thats weaponry for the artic patrols who control the northern parts of greenland, wouldnt suprise me if they had newer equipment, and they chose the 10mm glock for polar bear defense  :D

theres a new thread for ya, polar bear defense!

I just drooled on my keyboard

Don't be surprised to pay $4000.

They are fantastic pistols and one of my friends managed to pick a lightly used on for $990 from a dealer a couple of years ago. I could not believe my ears, he certainly pulled off one of the steals of the century.

whats amazing, the swiss made this pistol to replace the luger... they did something right back then in the late 40's, its becomming the euro version of the 1911 in terms of length in service.
