Whould anyone be able to compare these two? I was always wondering which one I would choose if I buy a .45. Never had a chance to try either one. From what I have read the Sig has the advantage of proven design, accuracy, decocker, but CZ has 10 rounds mag and is cheaper. If anyone tried both of them let me know what you think.

CZ-97 in .45ACP

Personally, I'd go with the CZ-97. A 1911 platform would be my first choice for a .45ACP pistol. But failing that I'd get the CZ...;) :)

You can get 10 round aftermarket mags for the P220. The P220 is a nicer pistol then the CZ97, quite a bit lighter too.
I'm not a base model CZ fan......their mid and high-end competition pistols are very nice, but the 75's, 85's and 97 do nothing for me.:)

I am the odd man out. Why? I do not care for the Sig P220 and I, in fact, sold my 98% P220 to a friend for what I paid for it, $375 (US). I have large hands (size 12) and the CZ97 still feels big in them. What would I opt for? A good old fashioned 1911A!. You can't buy them in Canada but I also like the Bersa Thunder 45 and the S&W M457. Regards, Richard :D

The CZ 97B is BIG! It is quite a bit bigger than the 75/85 series, and the difference is hard to appreciate until you handle them both. Both are good pistols... except the Sig is terrible for lefties.
