SIG 225 done by Walter Birdsongs Black T, trigger job, and Trijicon night sights, you guys can guess on the various 9mm ammunition, also a Emerson custom CQC 9 with temper-line visible.

Gadget,

What did the grips run you?

Also, how do you like the smoothness? Are they too smooth? Do they get slippery in the hand?

I ask because I just ordered a checkered set in Green for a P229. I think the smooth ones are more aesthetically appealing, but the checkering is apparently pretty good and aggressive.

Range report with the grips!

I have the Hoge checkered aluminum grips for my P229 in black. Amazing grips... I love them. But I'm anxious to see how cold they get shooting outside in the winter (I don't usually wear gloves).

TFHunter, your best bet is probably ordering direct from Hogue in the USA. I ordered mine during the summer and got them pretty quick (in about a week).

You got the blue Mag Safe Defender, cool. Are those 'lead looking' hollow points the ultra light weights that used to be around 20 years ago? Forget the brand name but the 38 Spl +P+ were an absolute rush to shoot (LOUD but zero recoil and a great big fireball out of a lightweight bodyguard). The P225 is a great pistol too - ah, the good old days.
