Had a few minutes and took the conversion kit to the range.
First impression of the kit was that the sites are nice and bright. Good weight to the slide (not as heavy as the 9mm). I oiled the rails and the outside of the barrel first off becasue it was very dry and scratchy. The magazine is plastic and not nearly as nice as the standard magazines.
Shot 350 rounds of federal bulk 36 gr.
I had zero ftf or ftl.
First 350 were the .22lr and then switched to 9mm. I did notice that my groupings with the .22 were not nearly as tight as with my 9mm. This could be due to cheap ammo or the fact I tend to shoot it much faster.
Very fun and enjoyable to shoot.
I had read on other sites that dry firing is very bad for the slide. Due to the fact that the slide does not lock after the last round is fired it is important to count the rounds as you are firing them. One suggestion was to put a snap cap as your first bullet and then load the rest. Either way I had no problem in counting 10 shots.
I recomend this kit to anyone who wants a cheap way to practice. I can forsee going through a lot more boxes of .22 in the future.
