Has anyone got one of these kits or know anything about them?

Here's a link...

I would like to have one for my P220 so I don't have to go broke firing the .45 ACP rounds!

Can I order one out of the USA or does someone know who has them in Canada?

Is it a hassle with the gun registry when converting it over?

Any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Questar has 5 in stock at the moment and switching to 22 doesn't change the status of the gun, since it is the frame that is registered and the conversion kit is barrel is still over 106 mm in length, so there is no problem with the registry.

Mine on my 226 was cranky at first, but runs really well now. keep the rails wet with lube. Mine eats dynapoints happily. Dry firing will peen the upper lip of the chamber, make sure that a bulge does not form that will cause the empty casing to stick. Sig did not make the slide lock back on the last round so you have to watch that and the casting of the mag body has some flaws which might need smoothing to ensure the follower works correctly. I heard someone is making a metal follower to make the slide lock back, will have to look into it.

Buying the Sig P226 22 Cal Classic allows you to get the Conversion kit to 40cal , 9mm or 357 Sig on the same frame, when you work out the price it comes in about the same as buying a P226 in 9mm but with both calibers on the same frame and you are not stuck with just a dedicated 22 pistol.

if you go with the 226 22, and a 9mm convertor, does the 9mm use the same 226 mags, and is the slide stainless?

Thanks for the info guys.

I decided it was cheaper to buy a Mosquito or similar then it was to buy the conversion kit. That way Both my wife and I have something to shoot when we go to the range together.

Also, I am going to buy reloaded ammo for the .45, it's way less expensive then new stuff.

I already had a .22cal pistol, so it made sense to buy the conversion kit, I looked up the link for the new followers and will get some.
