If you own this gun it may be worth investigating

This video shows a fellow who narrowly escaped a bad situation when his SIG 320 X5 went off in the holster on its own. Supposedly this has been a bit of problem with these units. https://youtu.be/FBjo62vSYZk

According to the video, he sent the gun back to sig, and they determined the cause to be a faulty firing pin return spring, which I don't think is the same issue that was causing the faults on the drop tests. As with all manufactured products, there are some that make it through QC that have flaws, this could simply be one of those instances, but since the p320 already has such bad publicity it gets more attention.

This happened to the CAF, and they called it a misfire…but they still bought them…. I know it’s a rare problem but a firing pin return spring is a odd and probably the worst part to fail. Which is why I didn’t buy one from tenda…

Is this the same incident where the Dwyer Hill guy was using a modified 226 holster for the 320 or a different incident?

Posted this answer on your Sig 320 thread but thought I would post here too.
I wouldn't panic but be aware the problem may still exist and keep an eye out. Contact Sig and see what they say. The accidental discharge seems to prevail but odds are remote. The old safety adage of treat every gun like it is ready to fire stands out no matter what you are carrying. I don't think even if I was allowed, or could, I would carry a gun fully loaded and ready to fire no matter how many "safeties" are built in. It just goes against everything I have been taught about firearms since day one 55 years ago

This is a very old issue - two-3 years old -that was fixed by Sig. It happened with military issued gun. SIG also had a trigger recall about that. Nothing new here. It is fixed. It’s servicemen proof now :) as much as a handgun can be.

You would like to think so but the latest problems have been creeping up this year. The video was an incident that happened just recently and posted a few days ago. According to the several law suits started this year it is not fixed.
