I ordered the Wilson grip/frame for my 320 X-Five. The grip on my X-Five is the one without the magwell. The factory grip just never worked for me as a result, my X-Five languished in the back of the my gun safe with a good likelihood of it being sent down the road. Well after reading about the Wilson grip/frame on another thread I ordered the Wilson grip/frame from FOC a site sponsor. The order went out the same day shipped by the CPO. The gun arrived in 7 days from Ontario which is about as fast as one would expect. Shout out to FOC for the service.

Installation was quick and easy. That said the grip fits tight which is what you want so if you go this route be prepared to tap the trigger group aka the pistol with a wooden handle to get it to slide into place.

Impressions? The Wilson grip is a game changer. You get a 1911 flat grip angle and a much narrower grip with a mag well opening that is perfectly designed for fast reloads. Now the Wilson fits my hand like a glove. What a difference. My X-Five goes from a safe Queen to 1st choice for my IDPA SSP Division gun.

If you own a 320 or the X-five you might want to look at this grip. It is what you would expect from Wilson, a quality, well thought out product. FOC carries them.

I find that it also allows the pistol to sit lower in the hand, so much so that the old cliche - 'high bore axis' - seems almost non-existent.

Wendel the whole notion of high bore axis having much to do about recoil ought to be debunked. Hint the slide stop is an aptly named part.

I was surprised how much effect it had in the feel of the grip. Felt like I was holding a 1911 in many ways.

If you haven't already, get the tungsten weights for the WC module as well as a heavy stainless or tungsten guide rod. The added weight is quite nice. The WC made a huge difference in feel and comfort for me. If I could get a WC in aluminum (sort of like an AXG)...now that would be sweet.
