The American models are built by Sig in Exeter. These ones are the German models built in Germany and will more than likely have proof marks and whatnot, etc.

Xcr is just as cool and non restricted too, and about 500$ cheaper
You can pick it up in the states for $1499.99. I don't know about you but I'm not willing to pay an extra $1300 for the same rifle because it was made in Germany and has proof marks. I agree with TheManInBlack, the price's are getting ridiculous.
That is wolverines market though.

You are telling us there is well over a $1300 margin to deal with (as I am sure the US ones are not being sold at cost) then.
The only other retailer in the country that advertises them have them for $3300.
It seems if you wanted to put your money were your mouth is you would be bringing these in yourself and selling them for $2000 and make a killing.
Or is there perhaps other factors that make the price what it is, and the lack of others bringing them in for cheaper an indication that things are not as simple as they seem?
Hell, if retailers are happy to be making less than $50 on a Ruger 10/22 and ready to cut each others throats even further to bring them in and sell them below that margin, you would think there would be a mad rush to bring these rifles in for the $1300 to $1800 potential mark up to be made. Yet I don't see them advertised anywhere else but here for $2900, and another place for $3300.
Why do you think that is?
Not a matter of not having the $$ its matter of getting RIPPED OFF big time for the EXACT SAME GUN with gun different markings on it.
