SIG 516 Patrol Rifle - Taking Orders Now!

If anyone is able to get this gun for 1300 cheaper then why don't you go for it instead of whining about it here. I am sure Wolverine won't be hurt.

Kac uppers alone are going for 2,400. and complete rifles from 2400. to over 3000 for the CQB. I don't hear anyone complaining about that, and they are D.I. so I would expect piston ones would be even more if they made them. ( didn't look it up ). I'm not debating the quality of one verses the other but they are both high end pieces. Buy them or not. It's the consumer who will ultimately decide if it's a fair price. I'm pretty sure your Johnson won't fall off if you don't get one.

So if they are "gouging" us, why are there not another dozen dealers lining up to offer these at $2500, $2250, $2000, $1750 if there is so much margin to be made?

Of all the competitors out there, why is it not cheaper someplace else? Why are there no other retailers selling these? Seems to me with these kind of margins to be made that everyone would be selling them instead of beating each other on other low margin items.

How about you order a dozen from IRUNGUNS and sell them here for $2000? I will buy two.
 
Same reason gas stations dont do it. THEY DONT HAVE TOO. Cause they know they will sell anyway. We're not talking T.V's here which everyone buys were talking a select product that only a certain part of the population buys.
 
Same reason that a car that is made in Ontario, is cheaper to buy the the US when our dollar is worth more than theirs... It doesn't have to make sense, it's Canada!
 
WTF is wrong with some of you on here, don't get me wrong I don't work for Wolverine (John) or in any way shape or form related but FFS what gives you the right to go and heckle the crap out of his bussiness on his own thread, I would not be surprised if he dropped being a forum suporter for crap like this if it were my bussiness I would pull pin and run.
It is fine to :bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug: on general discussion about Canadian pricing but to go on a forum supporters thread and outright :bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug: fest his thread that is more then just f'inm rude and ignorant.

Prices are the way they are in Canada, don't like it go buy it else where if you like but FFS leave the companies forum thread alone

To Admin: You need to have words with some people or ban them for a week to teach them a lesson, there is a time and a place for everything this thread is not it.

hmmm lets see if they are 1500.00$ in the states go down there pick on up apply for the export permite, pay taxes, brokerages duty, and then on top of that having to have it varified and registeries and that if they dont sieze it at the boarder
if buying a gun fro the us was so easy and cheap dont you think we would all do it ?

It would be no different then me going and posting on every thread on the exchange/sale forum and telling each and everyone of you your gouging forum members asking more then new prices for a used .22 or w/e ???
Use some damn common sense and leave the damn bussiness thread alone, ask questions pertaining to the item for sale , DON't post on this thread about gouging cheaper elsewhere and other B.S. like that, these bussiness members suppost and pay for this forum for you and I to use,they have free give aways and contests (Keep complaining about prices and that will stop also or worse they will stop suporting the forum then you can sit on Kijiji or craiglist instead.. or you can pay for there portion of the forum) they offer special prices on things to forum members in some cases/times so stop pee'ing on there threads.

It has been my past experience in dealing with Wolverine that their prices are VERY competitive. They have the products that we want and the pricing is always fair. There is no reason to believe they have suddenly changed that policy. That would be financial suicide for any company. Any smart retailer will try to make purchases at the lowest possible price to maximize profit, but they know that charging ridiculous high prices to maximize profit is the quickest way to lose that same business. Wolverine is not "that guy ". Done.
 
I don't generally butt into the business forums for good reasons. However, some of the postings here are devoided of reasoning because some people just don't understand that SIG USA and SIG Sauer Germany are two different animals. SIG Sauer Germany has its own pricing structure -

See, in Germany you will pay 2000 Euros for this rifle. Is this fair? Go tell Sig Sauer Germany(or the distributor) what you think, instead of making complaints at the retailers in their own forums, who are at the bottom of the food chain.

Another CGN supported retailer wants less than what Wolverine is asking but for the American model if your not particular, so do your research it literally will pays dividends, but I don't want to "troll" Wolverine's thread they are a great company and always will be, they have always worked hard to bring us the best at the most reasonable prices. Chances are if your complaining you can't afford one or are not interested so as others have stated please be polite to a sponsored retailer in these forums. If you can find a Sig 516 for cheaper than they are selling it...buy it...buy 3 and sell em on the EE! But whatever you do keep it to yourself because some things are better left un-said. It's just not appropriate.

Just for some clarity here........the $1500 odd dollar rifles from the US....are NOT GERMAN MADE. They are made in New Hampshire. Now....they are of the same quality. Assuming the rifles coming to Canada are from Germany.....that is where the price difference is. That being said.....if you trust the American manufacturer....and keep in mind this is Sig Sauer were are talking about which has a reputation to uphold.........the American made rifles for far less money......are probably just as good. But IF YOU MUST have a German made rifle.....expect to pay more....and don't whine about it :)

What exactly is the difference between a German making the gun vs an American making the gun?
