SIG 522 vs COLT M4 in 22lr

Which dedicated .22lr Black Rifle to buy?

Alright, I know my handguns but know s**t about these. I would like to purchase one, when they come out, but I am just researching at this time. I understand both are under review. I have never had an AR Style rifle and want to hear from the forum members. Which one do you prefer and why?

Yeah, I've even read lots on the 'merican sites, not much good said!
That said, I have a SR22, plan on having the SIG, and if I like the Colt's handling, one of them too. But only if the Colt is NOT restricted. Can't see any sense having a 22, 50,000 acres + to shoot, and not being able to pack it around.

If you want the M4 style, screw the umarex/colt and get the Smith & Wesson one!!!!!!!!!!

S&W is gonna be a better go than the Colt sub-contracted one.....

Why is the S&W not an option in the poll?

Having said that... I am partial to the Sig 522

Sorry, like I said, I am new to all of this and the two that caught my attention were the Sig and the Colt. As Questar is working on the Sig for approvals and for a price of $649.99, I heard that the Colt is in for approvals as well but will be coming out at $990.

Seems like the Sig will be a better choice, and $340 less.

A non restricted SIG..... at 649.99$.....I'm a buyer.......
 
The 522 is a superior rifle, I was there when Questar test fired it ran like a charm comes with a Black Dog magazine fed everything no jams and accuracy was excellent. The folding collapsible stock was great and it came in a plastic hard case with room for accessories and the rifle has a bolt catch that actually works. The field stripping was so easy stuff is contained in a nice simple package not like the Colt 22.
 
I would buy them both only if they are non restricted. You can never have just one.

As for the Colt. I handled or should I say fondled one when I was in a gun shop in the states. Its definitely a pretty nice piece of gear for what it is. Alot better than the 597 VTR. Price was 699.99 US so I can see a price in Canada being up around 900.00$.
