Whats 'pistol' about this? it just looks like the 552 minus the folding stock...

There's some sort of law in the US that I believe links legal barrel length to whether or not it has a stock. Canadians benefit from this stupid US law because now we have "pistols" in rifle calibres, so we get 10 rd mags in our carbines.

Why don't we (Canadians) do it and sell it in the US? Still a means to an end.

Do what? The Sig 556 takes AR mags. They can't import real Sigs. They can't make us 10 round PE90 mags.

As for the "pistol" as mentioned has to do with the definition. They can make "pistol" AR's, AK's and other rifles (with a barrel shorter than 16") as long as they meet certain criteria (no stock, gray area around VFG's). Otherwise they need to be registered and the SBR tax stamp must be paid.

Stupid gun laws are not a geographical problem.

We can get 10rd Swiss Mags. HOwver, since there is no such thing as a Swiss Sporting "Pistol" we can't really get awya with this. I can see if Swiss Arms will make a "Pistol" lower for us. However, since it is not "common", I am unsure as to what the RCMP will say. BUt I've never shyed away from trying before.
